Thomas Hampton Reviews
Hi, I'm Thomas Hampton. I am so glad you found THR, where I partner with the live performance community to bring you information on upcoming shows. Together, we utilize free, powerful tools for direct appeal marketing campaigns. I write Macro Reviews of selected performances that distill the ideas and themes behind a production.
I invite you to create an Event Page to promote your show or upcoming production. It should take you 10 minutes to complete a fill in form that I will use to create your page.
The entire team at Thomas Hampton Reviews loves live performance. We created THR as a gift to you, performers and audience alike. Please use our Calendar to see what is happening. Visit our Event Pages to find out details on a show. Read our Macro Reviews to get a better feel of what a performance is all about.

Alice and the Wonderful Tea Party

“Strongly recommended! A splendid children’s theatrical experience with a terrific new twist!” hails LA PARENT as Alice accepts a party invitation to visit the wonderful Wonderland characters of her youth. Will Alice prevail or are the Cards stacked against her? Will the Queen suffer a heart attack? Will the surprise tea party come off with civili-TEA or hostili-TEA?

The internationally acclaimed Rudie-DeCarlo Family Theatre musical comedy, performed on three continents over the past twenty years, celebrates Part Two of the Santa Monica Playhouse 50th anniversary year with lovely audience participation that helps Alice set a topsy-turvy Wonderland aright in this zany musical comedy for kids ages 2 to 102, featuring renowned Actors’ Repertory Theatre performers Celeste Akiki, Rachel Galper, Melissa Gentry, Nima Ghassemian, Cydne Moore and introducing Paige O’Malley as Alice.

The Playhouse’s acclaimed Alice musical comedy has toured world wide, and now she’s back to bring you a pun-derful afternoon of theatre magic. Drama-Logue applauds the “vivid costumes, bouncy music, broad comedy and the players’ boundless energy.” The LA Times praises its “clever clowning and buoyant silliness.” And the Daily Trojan calls it “Delightful!” Birthday and Tea Parties (of course), hosted by a favorite fairy tale character, are available for every performance. Come in costume and receive a two-for-one coupon for any future Family Theatre performance throughout the 50th anniversary celebration!
